I’m a mom (est. 2021 & 2023), wife (est. 2014), daughter (est. 1987), sister, friend, aries sun and gemini rising, tea drinker, travel addict, nature lover, bossa nova and r&b listener, quality alone time recharger and avid romantasy reader.
I got my first official camera to support my blogging hobby over 10 years ago and, in the time that's passed, it's evolved into a satisfyingly dynamic career that allows me serve and support the lovers, artists and creative entrepreneurs in my community and beyond.
Fun Facts
I have 20+ years of dance experience
I went to Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC and then went on to get my BFA in Dance and MA in Arts Management from George Mason University. The arts are in my blood and my experience as a dancer, choreographer and arts manager directly informs my work and ethic as a photographer. I'm an expert at body language, giving direction, have an eye for visual harmony and love to plan and execute all the components that go into facilitating a successful photography experience.
My husband and I eloped at the DC Courthouse
The wedding planning process was so overwhelming for us that we decided to elope and, 10 years later, we still have no regrets. We absolutely loved having just one close friend/photographer tag along and capture the unforgettable experience. It's the main reason why I'm so passionate about documenting elopements and intimate weddings. Life has a way of coming full circle and I find such great joy in being able to help inform and support couples in their journey towards getting married their own way.
I love to travel & have visited 11 countries so far
The first country outside of the US I ever traveled to was Barbados. Then my husband and I celebrated our elopement with a honeymoon exploring Paris, Amsterdam and Barcelona and the rest is a passport slowly but surely getting filled with stamps. Coming up May 2025, I'll be traveling to Ireland for photography work and I am so grateful for the opportunity to have my passions intersect. Whether domestically or abroad, I'm always down to travel in the name of photography (extra fees may apply - promise to make it worth it!).
My Approach to Photography
Developing a genuine connection with my clients prior to our photo session is essential. Once I receive an inquiry, I have each client fill out a questionnaire and schedule a zoom chat to make sure we're a great fit.
Collaboration is the name of the game.
No photo session is exactly the same.
